The food looks delicious.
They really know what they’re doing in the kitchen, and are unbelievably generous, too! That whole spread was completely free!
It makes it taste even better!
Glad you have a chance to see, partake and learn. Wonder how the Buddhist children fit into the Stateside way of life . . . the differences and customs being so different . . . food perchance a little ho-hum . . .
It really was such a gift to find and be welcomed so whole-heartedly. I felt nervous and out of place at first, but everyone was incredibly kind. The food was actually phenomenal. I walked out of there so stuffed; all the aunties kept trying to give me more!
It sounds like a lovely festival to remember parents and ancestors. Food looks amazing too. Great photos
It was an unforgettable experience in the best possible way. I was especially touched that they even included me in the rose pinning ceremony.
What an amazing experience!
Absolutely, a treasured memory now. :)
