Free As A Bird-thday

The best things in life are free, which explains the mass appeal of my Ultimate Vegan Birthday Freebies list. Who doesn’t love presents just for surviving another year? It’s truly worth celebrating and treating yourself.

As I commemorate another trip around the sun, I’m happy to update the original post with a number of new freebies! Here are the latest treats, both sweet and savory, joining the party for you to snap up in 2025:

Pinthouse Pizza

For those aged 21 and up, you can raise a glass to your big day with a free pint of beer. Anything on draft is fair game, and with a full wall of taps at any of their four locations, you won’t be wanting for choices. Strike up a conversation with the bartender if you get overwhelmed, and they’ll be happy to guide you to a new favorite brew.

Next Level Burger

Take your sweet tooth to the next level with a free milkshake of any size or flavor on your birthday. Plus, get $10 off your first order when you sign up! All shakes are available with either a coconut or soy base with tons of rotating seasonal specialties. For a perennial, fool-proof hit, you can’t miss the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Shake.

Flower Child

If whole foods and healthy decadence is your vibe, Happy Rewards from Flower Child will serve you well. When your birthday month rolls around, you’ll get a virtual voucher for a complimentary dessert. The list is limited, but all you need is the Vegan Dark Chocolate Pudding; with a rich coconut cream base, the velvety cocoa custard is topped with sliced almonds and toasted coconut. It may even rival a conventional chocolate birthday cake.

Salata

Who says all indulgences are unhealthy? This little luxury will help you eat your greens and stay on track. Join the Salata Tastemaker Rewards to get a $12 credit on your birthday, which amounts to a custom full size salad or wrap. That includes as many veggies, beans, nuts, and seeds as you can cram into a bowl or tortilla. Don’t forget the dressing and complimentary pita chips!

Masala Wok

Spice up your birthday with $5 off off at this Asian-Indian fusion eatery, with two Austin locations. Technically, the deal states this is a discount “off of any entree,” but I’ve successfully redeemed it on just a bowl of hot and sour soup, which you can ask for without egg, and an order of naan, for a completely free savory snack.

Happy Chicks

Better than the conventional Happy Meal, this one comes cruelty-free. Sign up for the birthday club and you can feed your inner child without compromising your ethics. Get a free Happy Chick meal with three vegan crispy tenders, a Happy Sauce of your choice (try the vegan ranch!), kale salad, and fries. Such a generous spread is reason enough to celebrate!

Cinnaholic

If you’re not rolling in dough, Cinnaholic will help you celebrate your big day by pitching in $5 for any sweet treats on offer. If you’re lucky, you can use that to snag two day-old basic cinnamon rolls to maximize your money. Otherwise, it’s still more than enough to redeem a free scoop of cookie dough, baby bun, brownie, two cookies, banana bread, or just a whole bunch of frosting. No judgement; you do you.

Cava

Cava’s classic pita chips have a cult following for good reason. Thick, substantial, and resoundingly crunchy, they’re even more popular than the dips and spreads packaged for grocery store sales. Make sure you’re signed up for the loyalty program, and you’ll have a month surrounding your birthday to grab a freshly fried bag for free. You could also opt to redeem a free juice or lemonade instead… But why?

Don’t forget to consult the original, revised list to get the full catalog of party favors. Happy birthday to you and yours!

  1. Happy birthday Hannah! I think I recognize that cookie photo! Ah, tasty memories. Which freebies did you go for this year?

    1. Haha, you’re correct! I’m crazy and genuinely try to get them all, but my absolute musts include Sephora, Ike’s, and Juiceland. Those are probably my favorites!
