Well it seems as though I’ve been tagged for another meme, this time by Paul. I must admit, this one was a bit more difficult, as I find it rather difficult to describe myself in the first place, but even more so when the words must match up with the letters of my name! Sorry if you’re not interesting in reading a bit more about me (I don’t blame you), but feel free to skip over this post- I promise, you won’t miss much. Regular posting will resume in no time, so sit tight!
Curious to learn more about me?
Here are the “official” rules:
# Players must list one fact, word, or tidbit that is somehow relevant to their life for each letter of your first or middle name.
# When you are tagged you need to write your own post containing your first or middle name game facts, word, or tidbit.
# At the end of your post choose one person for each letter of your name to tag.
# Don’t forget to leave a comment telling them ,they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
# If I’ve tagged YOU, please join in on the fun!
Hannah–
Hound. My lovely puppy, Isis, is indeed a hound dog, both in disposition and actual specification. Being a Basenji, she can be quite head-strong and stubborn, but is extremely loving. Who could ask for more?
Acrylic Yarn. I know that there are some serious acrylic haters out there in the knitting and crochet world, but I happen to adore it. It seems like everyday acrylic yarns are getting softer, so if you haven’t ventured to use some in a while, you might discover an entirely new word of fiber out there. Plus, acrylic has the brightest colors and most interesting patterns I’ve ever seen, and even better yet, it’s about 10x cheaper than any animal fibers! Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it- I use it almost exclusively when making stuffed animals, and I have yet to hear a single complaint from recipients!
No. Okay, this is a weird one, but my parents tell me that my first spoken word was “no.” To top it all off, my first complete sentence was allegedly “No, I would not like to do that.” Clearly, I was destined to be a handful right from the start!
Neat. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that I’m a “neat freak,” but I do like to keep things neat and tidy [which seems to be quite a departure from my roommate’s typical style…]. I simply don’t function very efficiently when there’s chaos all around, and usual end up cleaning the mess instead of working on assignments or emails!
Art. Funny to think back on this, but I actually used to be very much into art- Drawing, to be precise. About four years ago when I was a freshman in high school, all I wanted to do for a living was draw pictures and perhaps illustrate a manga or something. Unfortunately, after about a year of passionate scribbling, the process became more frustrating than fun, and none of the pictures on paper could ever satisfy the vision in my head. Just like that I gave up the ghost, and I haven’t drawn anything beyond a stick figure ever since then.
[Yes, one of my very old doodles! I’m still rather embarrassed by these things so just don’t tell any one, okay?]
Homesick. Yeah, I’m feeling rather homesick already, even if have been visiting for one day almost every weekend… A college dorm room simply could never compare to the comfort of my own room, not in a million years.
Whew, that was not easy! Now, for the other bloggers I want to tag and learn a bit more about…
Liz of VeggieGirl
Teeni of The Vaguetarian Tea Room
Rina of Red Crochet
Bazu of Where’s the Revolution?
Terrie of Star Spry
Marry Anne of Miss Woolly Knits
Can’t wait to see what all of you have to share!
you have lovely hair! cool meme. and I don’t say that often. ;p
Ditto what Celine said – your hair is very pretty – color AND texture. Also, very colorful tattoo. You are braver than me! ;) Also, I love the doodle (yet another area where you are talented). I need to point my niece at it since she is very into doing drawings as well. This is an interesting little meme and doesn’t look like it would kill me to do (LOL) so I’ll be happy to take you up on the offer. I’ll let you know when I’ve finished the post. Thanks for thinking of me!
oh my goodness, I LOVE this post – and thank you for tagging me!! I will post on this topic tomorrow (hopefully I’ll have time!!).
I can see a glimpse of your tattoo, in the photo – just that small bit of it showing is so detailed!! your back must truly be a work of art!
that doodle of yours is unbelievable – now that your cookbook is out, you should compose a book of drawings/sketches!!
basically what I’m trying to say is that this was an outstanding post – always fun to learn more about people :0)
So glad you played along and we’re able to learn more about you.
this has nothing to do with your post, but look at this book that is for sale on amazon and was in ADORN magazine: http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Funkys-Super-Crochet-Wonderful/dp/1581809662/ref=pd_sim_dbs_b_3_img/102-7885586-4346533
it’s just like teh littles that you make… MAKE A BOOK ABOUT YOUR LITTLES!
Well, I guess you know by the ping up there that I posted my meme! LOL.
Cool blog! :}
You are SO talented! I’ve always envied artistic folks…my skills are limited to BARELY being sufficient enough for a game of Pictionary, ha!
What a fun meme- and thank you for the tag! How cool that you have a Basenji- they are so beautiful.
P.S. I tagged you back! (for a different meme)
how interesting! : ) i’m a total neat freak… clutter bothers me to no end.
Sorry, I haven’t been able to read blogs much recently…I just noticed you tagged me :)
It was nice to find out more about you, and I hope to do this meme on my blog soon!
hi. my name is winter wallace and im from houston tx. everyday, i come to work, i am so bored and i started reading your blog. somehow i randomly got to it maybe from etsy…im not sure. ill have you know that since i have been reading your blog….i own 5 different crochet hooks, three different yarns AND yesterday i bought stich n bitch:the happy hooker, in hopes that i can become half as good as you are at crocheting. i originally had some crazy idea to start making breakfast foods and snacks by crocheting and i googled it and of course found out, a million people are already doing the same thing. but thats okay. i still want to create these things. ive been trying but all of my stitches are so uneven and lumpy and there are holes and things im not sure how to fix. im sure ill get the hang(or hook) of it. anyway, long story aside…thank you for the inspiration, life has seemed quite boring, as of late.
i hope you make many posts for me to learn from!
-Winter
