Random aside, but the HEB frozen Mediterranean pearl couscous is a real sleeper hit that you should know about. They bill it as a "hearty vegetarian side dish," but really, you could very happily nuke the whole thing and call it a full meal.
Today, the Austin vegan community has been dealt a heavy blow. FIVE 100% plant-based establishments announced that this would be their final day of service. I usually reserve obituaries for the end of the year, but this is unprecedented. All at once, we must say goodbye to:
While it may sound sketch, I promise @traphouseatx is anything but. You could also call it Trap House Caribbean & Seafood, or THC Seafood for short, but I'm not convinced that's an improvement.
Happy Pi Day to all those who celebrate. I do love a good double crusted pastry but must admit, I'd always prefer the ice cream on top, if given the choice. Case in point, my Apple Pie Sundae from Super Vegan Scoops! The crust and filling are the garnishes for the ice cream, as far as I'm concerned.
