Kamaka Ukelele Factory
550 South Street
Honolulu, HI 96813
Free tours every Tuesday – Friday at 10:30 am, led by Uncle Fred himself. It’s a piece of history not included in any of the guidebooks, but if you’re in town, it would be a shame to pass this opportunity by.
👍
I hope you bought one :)
Only in my dreams! These babies are made of pure Hawaiian Koa wood, which is currently appraised more valuable than gold, as I have been led to believe. Even the most basic models would be a bargain around $1000. Better to think of this more as a museum than a store. ;)
Lol, a sort of tiny guitar for the connoisseur? ;)
Beautiful :)

So cool!
That’s so cool to see how ukeleles are made.
Great shots, Hannah! My family friend is obsessed with ukelele and owes a dozen of them, I bet he will love to see the process! Thank you for sharing their best moments in making music!
ooh yes! :) beautiful fun photos too! x
