They have been my culinary education and inspiration. They have been what has helped me to be bold enough to develop my own cooking style. Taking a little here and there, experimenting with and understanding the best of cooking techniques, flavors, and cuisines. So I no longer look at my cookbooks guiltily because I know how much they have enhanced my life even though I don’t “cook” directly from them.
