Although I personally believe that every day should be Earth Day, marking it on the calendar does give us a particularly good excuse to duck out of work early and enjoy the outdoors. Especially on this beautiful sunny day today, it would be downright foolish to hunker down inside.

Spring is out in full force at last, showing off a rainbow of colors with its fresh blooms and sprouts. The tiny young fawns with white-speckled coats have emerged as well, one of my favorite sights to behold; a bit awkward and shaky on their legs still, but somehow incredibly elegant all the same. They may grow up to threaten the existence of my vegetable garden, but for now, I don’t mind sharing some of the little purple flowers sprinkled across the lawn. Munching away without a care in the world, this little one is clearly enjoying the nice weather and springtime bounty of greenery, too.
Happy Earth Day!

One of my favorite thing in springs happens to be little fawns too! They are so cute!
I love your little fawn! He is so darling!
Enjoy being outside. I’ve almost started living outside. I’m only inside for classes, computer labs(now), sleeping, and starbucks. haha!

Lovely fawn, I am just learning to crochet (am a very keen knitter) and it is always good to see inspirational ideas.
There really has not been that mush in the UK about Earth day. It is slightly ironic that all the flights have started again in full force on Earth day – maybe we need more volcanos?
April 22, 2010 at 4:28 pm
Now this one is WAY too cute!

Any news about getting the meringue recipe out there? The ones one your flickr look real, the hard to get hold of-mix ones do not. It would be pretty cool to be able to win over more people to vegan ways by showing them that the impossible is in fact possible, but it seems now like, what, three years have passed since first mention of a recipe? Any news of when the book will be published?

Hi Hannah! How are you? I haven’t been a good blogger lately but wanted to stop in and say hello. I love your little deer – so cute! I wonder if you sew the cheeks on or just glue them? I’ve been sewing mine on but it sometimes irritates me to work with such small circles of felt. LOL. Anyway, I hope you are well and I will try to be better about checking up on you over here! :) Hugs to you!

This has got to be the cutest thing ever! My husband is cooing over it too and says it looks like a tiny version of our beagle Lobi. This is just precious, Hannah!

You know, I haven’t seen them yet this year, but when I do I will be jumping-up-and-down excited. Even the full grown deer sightings never get old for me, they are so majestic.
